Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My class is full of energy and motivation. We consist of 12 students with various abilities and strengths. 3 of our students are English Language Learners, and embrace us with new knowledge of their culture. My students are not “the” best in academic areas, but they all do try and give “their very best”. Each day they teach me to live in the moment and be present. Our students are empathetic to the needs of others and demonstrate teamwork everyday.
My Project
These materials will make a difference in our students learning because we need a clean and safe environment. Many of these supplies are not easily accessible to parents due to the economic hardships of the pandemic. By having access to tissues, masks, and cleaning products, students and parents will feel safer with children being in school. NYC is planning on a blending learning model where children will be partially in school, and partially at home. The supplies in this donation will help the students while they are learning in person, face to face.
