Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach over 700 students ranging from Kindergarten to Fifth grade at two Title I schools. My students live in a rural part of South Carolina and come from a variety of diverse backgrounds.
My students are creative, smart, and eager to have hands-on learning activities that will prepare them to become 21st-century learners.
I want all of my students to have the opportunity to create artwork with all the materials they need and provide them with a fun, engaging, and hands-on learning environment.
My Project
This project is to bring some much needed art room essentials to my two art classrooms. This project includes disinfecting wipes, hand sanitizer, tissues, and broom holder to help keep the art rooms clean and organized for students. With hundreds of students coming in and out of the art rooms everyday, I want my students to have a clean studio space to work.
This project also includes a few basic classroom supplies that we will need at the beginning of the school year.
The glue bottles and erasers will help ensure that we are ready to start the 2019-2020 school year in August with the materials all of my students need.
