My students need a workspace that is much more conducive to learning than our current arrangement. Please help me create this ideal and clean learning space by incorporating a new kidney table in our classroom!

My Students
My school is a performing arts and technology elementary school in Astoria, NY. Our school believes in constant collaboration and teamwork. We are lucky to have such a diverse group of students here in Astoria. I currently work with eleven inspiring fifth grade students each day. My students are hardworking, talented, and entertaining! Despite the various obstacles they face, they continue to persevere. My students treat each day as a new start. Everyday I watch my students grow in confidence and overcome their struggles.
My Project
Currently, when I conduct small group work with my students, we sit on the floor. This spot is not ideal for optimal learning. Often times these spots are uncomfortable and students get easily distracted. Sitting at a kidney table works like magic! Since I the teacher will be sitting in the middle and is close to each student, the children feel closely connected to the teacher and to one another, and are more apt to stay engaged in the work at hand. Further more my students will not need to sit on the floor! It will be much easier to decontaminate a kidney table with a simple Clorox wipe at the end of the school day.
Working at this group table allows me to quickly scan each student's work and to provide immediate instruction.
It is common to that much of our small group instruction time is lost between the shuffling around of students as well as myself monitoring work, with the introduction of the Kidney table our time would be used more efficiently. If we had a kidney table, the students would want to stay there the entire day!
Not only would this addition in the classroom improve our learning experiences but help us create a clean and healthy atmosphere, it will lead to healthier students, improved attendance (with a greater attempt to stop the spread of germs), and a better education!
