My students this year are Freshmen, who are extremely motivated. They love to use language in the classroom and have fun speaking French even outside of the classroom. We enjoy using Flipgrid and other online platforms for speaking practice.
These highly motivated students inspire me to give it all my all everyday.
Our class is very diverse and made up of students from the Caribbean, Europe, Canada and the United States. Being from the Caribbean myself, I encourage them to make the class a community where we respect and appreciate our differences. French is something new and different for them all and together we strive for excellence. We celebrate all our accomplishments everyday.
They love French and enjoy the class. I would like help this year in securing a new laminating machine to help us create colorful flashcards for their use in class. This will facilitate their speaking in Target Language. It would make them so happy and when they are happy and motivated, it makes the class ambiance so much more wonderful!
My Project
During the pandemic it remains a challenge to keep ourselves safe while we teach and learn. The students are eager to learn and share everyday but as we do so, we remember that our school is a shared space. We are kindly asking for help in keeping healthy cleaning products in our room so we can sanitize regularly. Our whiteboards, verb charts, laptops and desks will remain clean and safe as we co tinge our journey of learning French. We are excited to see how your support will push us forward.
