My Project
I am passionate about my students because they are curious, hardworking, and eager to make a difference in the world around them. This project will give them the unique opportunity to connect what they learn in the classroom to real-world issues, particularly the growing concern about air pollution and its impact on our health and environment.
The specific resources we are requesting—particulate matter meters—will empower students to directly measure the air quality near our school.
We currently use tape and time, this will allow us to get more data from various locations. By using real scientific equipment, they will gather data, analyze results, and deepen their understanding of environmental science and chemistry. This hands-on experience will not only improve their understanding of chemistry and pollution but will also inspire them to think critically and propose actionable solutions to address air quality challenges in their community.
My goal is for students to gain practical experience with data collection and analysis, develop critical thinking skills, and become advocates for environmental change. What makes my students special is their creativity and passion for learning. They are ready to take on this challenge and apply their knowledge to improve the world around them.
