My Project
I have students that are interested in CTE and possible future careers in the trades. I want to provide them with an opportunity to build foundational skills that they can take and use after high school. While I currently have a shop for students to work in, dust collection is a definite concern. Whether its a student with allergies, asthma, some other medical issue, or no issue at all, I want them to have a safe place to work and grow.
When I ask my students what they see themselves doing after high school, many say they plan to work in the trades.
Building skills that connect students from high school to college or the workforce is as important as ever. Having a safe place to work now and build those skills will lead to successful futures for my students.
