it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
MHS is a truly diverse high school that utilizes Anti-Racist Teaching as the lens through which we nurture and develop a connected and unified community by building strong personal relationships between faculty and students to support each student to be academically successful and
socially motivated.
At our school, 56.8% of the students we serve are socioeconomically disadvantaged, 38.6% are English Language learners, and 14.6% are differently-abled.
My Project
All students at MHS will learn that their health matters when they see an air purifier in their math classroom.
Since March 2020, when learning shifted from in-person to online, the inequities in our city became even more striking.
Our students and their families deserve everything possible to be healthy and survive this pandemic while still benefiting from the in-person learning that they (and we, their teachers) crave.
It's a simple gesture that will send a loud message that their health matters! Thank you very much for supporting this project!
