it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students have never before used kiln-fired clay and glazes, and my art room is not yet equipped to serve their needs.
Your donation of clay mats, brushes, and underglazes will allow my students to explore the world of clay in my art room.
My students come from low-income neighborhoods where they do not have access to the activities and materials I expose them to in my art class. This is their only opportunity to use clay, fire it in the kiln, and glaze it. Some don’t even realize that clay is made from dirt! They are offered the opportunity to explore clay, strengthen their hands for writing, and make one-of-a-kind pieces.
