This year I have the amazing opportunity to teach English as a New Language (ENL) through visual arts, which entails teaching about various artists then the students create artwork inspired by the artists.
I want my students to create Yayoi Kusama-inspired sculptures with clay.
The 94-year-old artist has created many incredible sculptures of pumpkins, flowers, and abstract figures. It would be an amazing opportunity for my students to use her artworks as inspiration to create their own mini sculptures. I am requesting different colored packs of modeling clay
My goal is for my students to become lifelong lovers of the arts. The arts are also a great way for my students to express their feelings, which is particularly important during these difficult times.
New York City Public School teachers receive very little money for classroom resources and supplies. Now more than ever, we need additional resources to support our students. Please help my vision become a reality by donating to this project. Your generosity means the world to us! Your donations are truly appreciated. Thank you!
