Help me give my students the flexibility to sit in different seating around the classroom and still have access to our learning materials with an easel that can be moved around the room.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a first-grade teacher, I am constantly moving around the classroom because first graders have a lot of energy and need to move. Creating flexible seating and allowing students to choose where they learn in the classroom and by giving them choices, can help them to understand how they learn best and in turn will create students capable of knowing their needs.
Having a movable easel will allow me to move to where the students are and meet them with their needs.
When working on a project or assignment, it would be helpful to have an easel that can easily be moved to students who need it. The classroom environment should work for the students and having a place to display our learning materials is going to enhance the learning taking place.
