My Project
Please warm our classroom with everything that will help us learn and grow. My school recently opened up a new K to 2 Autistic Support classroom due to Autistic Support classrooms in the district being overcrowded. Our room needs reading, writing, and social skills materials. Each student is on a different level. To help meet them where they are and take them to their next level, these materials will be used in small groups, paraprofessional led groups, independent, and 1:1 with the teacher. I love the personalities of my students and how different they are; they all have their different strengths.
The Lakeshore activities and centers and other educational resources will help students improve their fine motor skills by gripping the manipulatives.
These activities allow students to get hands-on practice and build their independence.
The Kensington Hi-Fi Headphones will allow my students to focus on their current tasks and not disturb other peers.
The wooden train set, Legos, and cooperative board games will help change how my students express themselves and help change unwanted behaviors. Students will learn to take turns, play with others, and share. Students will also learn how to communicate and express themselves through play.
