My Students
My 3rd graders are bright, inquisitive, and tender-hearted. They are thoroughly enjoying being in the classroom after two years of online, homeschool, and hybrid learning. Because these children were in first grade during the beginning stages of the COVID-19 pandemic, they have missed critical literacy skills.
With your help, I can fill in the gaps the coronavirus pandemic has caused in my students' learning.
These kids were dealt a bad hand, it is not anyone's fault they are behind. It is just what happened because the world was trying to navigate uncharted waters. We can create life-long learners together; these tools are the first step. I have no doubt that we can help these kids get to where they need to be to meet grade-level standards by the end of the year.
My Project
My students are extremely hard workers. They have missed several foundational skills due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We are doing our best to catch them up and these lesson materials will make that a lot easier!
This project includes books that my students love that we can tie into our language arts lessons!
I have included some fun "room transformations" so that we can do things like contraction operations, bossy r racecar activities, and a summarizing safari. In this project, there is also ink for my printer because that is a limited resource at my school. There is a rhino stuffed animal that will be the "Respectful Rhino." It will sit on a student's desk who has been respectful to their teachers and peers.
