My Project

I will be teaching in a self-contained classroom with up to 8 incredible students, each with their own unique strengths, needs, and ways of learning. My students have varying learning disabilities, emotional and behavioral challenges, and sensory needs. In order to support them fully, I want to create a classroom environment that is not only functional, but also calming, cozy, and adaptable to each student’s individual needs.

With the help of this project, I’m hoping to provide sensory-friendly seating, organizational tools, and cozy elements that will help my students feel safe, focused, and supported throughout the day.
