My Students

Here at our K-12 school, students readily accept one another as they are. Their camaraderie impresses me daily and allows us to dive deep into authentic learning experiences. My students' exposure to opportunities is somewhat limited in our rural setting; as their Industrial Arts, CAD, and Spanish teacher, I am eager to share as much of the world as I can. As a result, the students love new information and are filled with curiosity.

Students enjoy seeing their ideas come to life.

Whether we're in shop class or Spanish class, we work diligently as a team to make that happen.

Students take an active role in the management of our classroom, including making DonorsChoose requests. This project was written by students.

My Project

Having a document camera, monitor, and display transmitter in the classroom will create a better interactive learning experience for all students. The document camera enables practical learning by allowing the instructor and students to demonstrate sketching techniques and more, including making note-taking easier for every student. Many students state that a document camera makes note-taking more efficient and teaches them how to better write notes.

With your help, our classroom will have the ability to wirelessly broadcast the same screen across different classroom monitors.

Not only do multiple displays make learning more workable, but they also make teaching a lot easier. Having these items will boost performance in all students.

Overall, the benefits of the document camera, monitor, and display transmitter will improve the classroom in ways we haven't been able to before. Students will become more focused on their work and will be able to demonstrate their own work to their peers better.

A note from our teacher: "These tools have also been requested with remote learning in mind and empowering the instructor to continue providing quality instruction should we have to transition to remote learning."
