This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are creative and inspiring young individuals who love learning. They are ambitious and self-motivating. My classroom is diverse and learns best through movement and hands-on learning.
My students love to challenge themselves and question the world around them.
I am blessed with students who enjoy coming to school each day ready to learn and put their best foot forward. When you enter my room you will always find them engaged in discussion. This allows them to learn from each other and make unique connections to the world around them.
My Project
The Amazon Fire tablets will be used in class during a time called centers. Centers is when the students are split into small groups and expected to work in these groups simultaneously while the teacher works with one group and their areas for growth. These tablets would benefit my students in a variety of ways!
With the use of these tablets, my students could grow in literacy, mathematics, leadership, and creativity.
When not using the tablets during centers, I want to use them to work together in teams to play 'Kahoot!' to review lessons and use the cameras for Augmented Reality with the HP Reveal App.
These tablets would also benefit different learning needs. They would give me the ability to adapt materials to meet students' needs (such as visual and audio features). Overall, these tablets help make learning more engaging and interactive.

Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
