My Students
This is my first year teaching and I am so excited to get started with my students. In order to do that, I need your help! I have thirty bright and brilliant students stuffed into one small room in a building outside of the main building. However, this does not stop us! My students love to ask questions and read, read, read! Unfortunately, we are unable to go outside during the school day, so we have to get creative inside. I love seeing the students work together to brainstorm an idea and then find the tools they need to implement it. I am looking forward to creating a classroom that is inviting and warm to each person who walks through the door.
My Project
I teach Kindergarten in a urban setting and our classroom is currently housed in the Salvation Army Headquarters. We are not allowed outside and can only use the gym during specific times, so we have to get creative to engage our students.
Having tablets in our classroom will help engage my students in reading and learning.
Students will have access to many more books and learning activities. The books in my classroom are old and the amount is limited. Giving students access to a library of unlimited online books will increase their knowledge and instill a love for reading and learning.
