This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach a group of wonderful, intelligent, and curious little preschoolers in the Los Angeles area. My students are a part of a special day program called PALS (Preschool For All Learners) which helps support mild to moderate disabilities. My students love hands-on and engaging projects that help them think outside the box. They come to school ready and eager to learn new things and challenge themselves academically!
My Project
These materials will be used to help support my students classroom environment skills. The timer will be a visual and audio support for students to help them transition during the school day. The timer will help students transition on their own to another activity or signal that it is clean up time. The cushion seats will help students with sitting on the carpet for a period of time. Some students in the classroom need that physical support for them to be able to sit in place or help them to be able to sit.
