This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students work hard everyday to work on their reading comprehension and math. COVID-19 has left many of them behind in the area of reading, math, and writing.

These supplies such as headphones will be used to focus on fluency and building reading comprehension skills as they have a listening center that the students first listen to the story and then answer comprehension questions along with fluency practice of the story.

The notebooks, pencils, and erasers will be used as we work together in whole group reading time to take notes for stories that we read. They will then use the notes to answer comprehension questions. The dry erase markers are used to show work for math problems as we practice skills. The supplies that I have requested will help them to continue to work on making up for the learning that they lost during that time. This will give them more confidence as they move forward building their skills in the areas of reading, math, and writing.
