This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students live in Watsonville and many are migrant students whose parents work very hard day in and day out. My school is a Title I school, meaning that a large percentage of our students qualify for free or reduced lunch.
My students are enthusiastic learners, kind to one another, and excited about the possibilities their future may hold!
Students at my school are inquisitive, compassionate, and creative. As English language learners, books are so important to my students and are truly valued. Our classroom library is an essential resource for my students. Most of my students do not have access to books at home and rely on our classroom library to check out high-quality books. When a new book is added to the library, the students buzz with excitement over who will get to read it first!
My Project
Please help me to provide my students with supplies that will help them learn and grow. I am so excited to bring all of these items into my classroom and help them to succeed. I am most excited about the book baskets as I have students that read at all different levels and they will help us to stay organized. The poly spots will also be a fun addition to our PE games and also helping organize students for school events such as our Christmas Sing Along and all school assemblies. Thank you for the support, the kids and I truly appreciate it!
