This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a Special Education Teacher in an Integrated Co-Teaching Classroom of twenty-nine 1st Graders, my co-teacher and I would utilize the carts to supply materials for students in small groups, centers, and more.

As a Special Education teacher in a NYC Title 1 school, where nearly all of our students are from low-income households, I take great care in knowing that my students have the supplies they need to succeed and have access to those materials and supplies, building self-sufficient learners.

With these carts, we will be able to store our supplies and materials for the students, label them, and use them throughout the year. No more wasting time waiting for the teacher to grab materials from the high closet shelves or crates stored on the small closet floors. We will be a super-duper-learning and moving-machine!
