My Project
The main part of this project is basic supplies that will be utilized daily in the classroom. My students need supplies such as pencil sharpeners, erasers, pencils, earbuds, and dry-erase markers. I added dry-erase markers, so they can show their work on dry-erase boards. I strive to have kids learn to put themselves in others' shoes, so they can see themselves from someone else's point of view. I want my students to become well-rounded, globally aware individuals, and that starts with accepting others around them first. All of the requested items will help kids grow in compassion and confidence, not just academics. Kids love learning from each other! Students will be able to learn empathy by sharing the supplies with others, and not feeling insecure if they are in need of various supplies. These requested items will be used all year!
Although many of these supplies are basic, such as pencils, notebooks, and highlighters, they will be used daily throughout our school year.
Whether they be used in everyday lessons or our big projects throughout the year, such as our animal research writing projects, and ones for both Black and Women's History Month. They will be used during all subject areas, whether it be for math work, language arts assignments, science exploration, or social studies lessons.
It is important to me to make our classroom organized and well-stocked with supplies, in order to make learning a top priority for my students.
