This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students come from very diverse backgrounds and that is what makes each one of them unique! A large percentage of my students speak a native language, from Swahili to Amharic, and still manage to faithfully attend school to learn yet another language, English. And they are great at it! At any given moment you can roam the halls of my school and pick up as many as 20 different languages and I've manage to also pick up a phrase or two here or there, thanks to my students! What I love about my students is every one of them have a starkly different home life but when they get together to learn in our classroom, none of that matters as they are very acceptive to anyone who enters our classroom and I love the fact that everyone is a friend to one another!

My project for classroom supplies will ensure that each student is able to complete the grade level assignment successfully.

The glue sticks will help students sort different categories of animals with different traits or create a timeline of the Revolutionary War and its effects. The pencils will be used for students to complete written paragraphs or constructed responses on unit tests and the erasers will ensure that each student has their own so they are not arguing over the last erasers in the bin. Each of the requested classroom materials will ensure that my students are able to finish the year successfully.
