Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This project includes a selection of snacks that students can choose from based on my positive behavior support system. They can now select from fidget tools, candy, and Takis, in addition to what my classroom store already has to offer. By supporting projects like this we encourage students to look at our classrooms as a positive communal space rather than transactional learning. Our students get to feel a sense of belonging outside of just the curriculum and get to explore math and a traditional classroom setting in different ways.
