My Project

Hello! My name is Elaine Tracy. I'm a first year, fifth grade teacher at T. K-8 in MA. I am hoping to get this project funded in order to reward the hard work of my students and lift their spirits as we navigate the rigorous standardized testing season.

We recently started a new classroom management system in which students can earn money in their "bank accounts" for positive behavior such as being on task, helping other students, and turning in their homework.

Students can spend their money on a variety of desirable insentives. We have heavily relied on the kindness of our fellow staff members to help us stock our classroom store with prizes, but we are quickly running out! Your donation would show students that their hard work and dedication to school pays off in more ways than one! Additionally, it would make our classroom so much warmer with the bulletin board materials and bean bag chairs that I am requesting. Sitting in the beanbag chairs and the criss cross chair will be able to be purchased as a reward from our class store model.

I sincerely appreciate your consideration of funding my project. I am optimistic that these items will spark student excitement for learning as we approach standardized testing season. Please know that your donation will make a huge difference in the daily lives of my students.
