Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am an early childhood teacher, currently in a Pre-K classroom for the school year 2021-2022. I have a class of 20 students, primarily composed of English Language Learners. We are a Title I school, which means that 90% of the students receive free or reduced-price lunches.
Currently, I am servicing students in school while keeping health safety protocols in the foreground.
I want to provide my students with the best experience possible during this time of COVID-19. I am in need of adequate materials that will help motivate my students and support my instruction while we are limited on which resources we can use. With your help, I can ensure that my students are receiving the best possible education available to them.
My Project
The materials in this project will help me ensure that my students are provided with furniture that is age-appropriate. By this, I mean that the children will be able to learn independence through reaching for their toys and materials and have the ability to clean up on their own. Students in PreK are learning key foundational skills and having the furniture to aid in their development will give them the opportunity to develop appropriately. The furniture will also be helpful in being able to have a birds-eye view of all centers for the teacher.
