This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In my classroom, we have snack time everyday. Students forget to bring a snack, they run out, or sometimes their families don’t even have the means to be able to send them one. About 70% of our school population qualifies for free and reduced lunches. Sometimes school is the only place where they get to fill their bellies.

It is so important to me that my students never feel hungry.

While I have been providing snacks out of my own budget for my students, it still seems like it isn’t enough. This list will help me provide snacks and breakfast to my class for the year! Having this project funded would mean so much to me and my students!
