Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My second grade ICT class is both general and special education students that work and learn together every day. We love to learn through experiences- read alouds, virtual trips, in-person trips, songs, dances, experiments, etc!
We would love to start the school year with some allergy-safe, tasty snacks that we can provide to students to help them fuel their growing brains throughout the day.
For various reasons, sometimes students arrive to school and they did not eat breakfast. Having some snacks on-hand can help them get ready for the day. Other students get hungry before lunch, and having a quick snack can help them recharge and refocus for the rest of the day. We also love to celebrate our students hard work- whether we have worked collectively to make respectful and safe choices or completed a unit of study or special project, we would love to have some treats to share with students for these celebrations, too.
