This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I’m excited to share a project that will help motivate my students and make our classroom a more engaging place to learn. We’re planning to create a snack and candy cabinet that will be stocked with treats students can buy using the class money they’ve earned for good behavior and completing their work. This idea came directly from my students, who requested snacks as rewards because they believed it would help them stay focused and excited about school. Snacks and candy are already the most popular items in our class store, so I know this will be a huge hit.

My goal with this project is to help my students succeed by encouraging them to be on their best behavior and stay on top of their work; I also want them to see that their opinions matter and that I listen to their ideas.

When students feel heard, it boosts their confidence and investment in their learning. The snack cabinet will be a fun and motivating way to make our classroom environment even more positive, and it will give students a sense of accomplishment when they earn the rewards.

This project will benefit all 97 of my students, helping them stay engaged and motivated to succeed. By giving them a tangible reward for their efforts, I hope they’ll be even more excited to participate, work hard, and create a classroom atmosphere where everyone thrives. Thank you for supporting this effort to make our classroom a better place!
