My Project
My class has many ENL students who speak 9 different languages. A lot of time is taken away from learning in order to translate directions for each language within the classrooms. I have some students that cannot read in their own native language which creates an additional barrier to accessing the content.
This project is created to requested language translators which would immensely help the students access and engage with the curriculum.
Especially when they need to ask questions in their native language.
These students have a wealth of knowledge even if they cannot speak English. Instead of having to wait until their English improves, these translators would allow the students to learn material in their native language.
