This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
We are small but mighty! Located in a low income area our students may lack money but they do not lack enthusiasm and determination.
Our students come from low income families and our school is a Title 1 school.
Despite this our students have an enthusiasm and zest for life. They are eager to learn and be challenged! Our school was started with the goal of changing the lives of the community members. We are doing that one student, one family at a time.
My Project
This year in our middle school Language Arts we are examining the question What does it mean to be human? Through literature we can safely explore some of the more challenging aspects of humanity. As we engage in the novel we will use critical thinking skills to analyze and discuss how this novel answers our question.
Our school had a microburst storm destroy the roof and much of our materials.
We are rebuilding but are in desperate need of books! Research shows that reading is critical to school success. Your donation will change the lives of our students.
