My Project
The items (calm down threading boards, sensory fidget tubes, anger management toys, calm strips) in this project will help my students focus on social and emotional learning as they are learning to navigate so many things as kindergarten students. My goal is to help them learn about their emotions and strategies to use when those big feelings feel overwhelming. Kindergarten can be such a huge change for my students and having strategies and tools, such as the ones in this project, in place to help them adjust to this change will be great for them. It will allow them to be successful in the classroom as well as in their daily lives.
