As a first-year teacher, I look forward to meeting my first class of kindergarteners. Teaching is my passion and I am excited to create a positive and welcoming environment for students. Kindergarten students are so eager to learn and grow each day which makes teaching them an absolute joy.
Kindergarten is the time where students learn to love learning.
Students become part of a community for the first time and learn how to be a student. This first year of school is important to set them up for a life long love of learning and a love of school. During this first year, students start to discover themselves as an individual and as a student. I am so lucky to guide children through this year and help them grow.
My Project
These tools will help my students make choices about their seating and move throughout the day. The yoga balls are a great seating option to help students build their core strength. It also allows children the freedom to move and get their wiggles out! The wobble chairs are stools that wobble! They help students build their core strength and move quietly when they need to so they don't have to sit so still.
These seating options will help students build strength and give them the freedom to move without distracting others.
The zipper bags are very sturdy and hold our centers so students can grab the bag with all the materials and go sit anywhere in the room. The earmuffs are for students who need a quiet workspace. The day is long and the constant noise can get overwhelming. Allowing students to put these earmuffs on will help students stay focused.
