Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students come to school to learn but they also want to learn in a place that is inviting, welcoming, comfortable, kid friendly and fun! These two rugs will allow students to have fun comfortable seating during whole group lessons. The larger rug will be the main rug which has Daisies that will be their designated rug spots. As kindergartners they need reminders on where they should be seated on the rug. This rug makes them happy to learn and sit on because our classroom name is the Daisies!
The smaller rug will be dedicated to our library.
This will add a cozy feel for students when they are picking and reading books at the library. Students will always want to read at the library instead of at their tables because the rug will feel inviting and fun with its color, which will also make it easier for them to pick a new book when they finish the one they are currently reading. Therefore, students will read more books with a rug then without one!
