This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our class needs a new rug for learning! This rug will be used many times throughout the day. It will be used during our whole group lessons and it will also be used as a flexible seating option.
This smiley face rug will be the heart of our classroom!
On this rug, my firsties will learn, brainstorm, problem solve, giggle, and grow. We will be able to start and end our day at the rug. With this rug, comes muddy feet, play dough, paint spills, snack spills, and much more! A portable vacuum cleaner will be helpful to clean the carpet at the end of the day. This way my students will be guaranteed to have a clean place to sit the next day.
