Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Each day, my fourth graders come to school excited to experience another day of growth and enrichment together. The kids love to participate and to challenge themselves. They are so sweet, smart and hard-working! Time moves quickly with this lively and entertaining group of kids!
My Project
My students will enjoy a comfortable place to sit together and learn world geography with a colorful and informative library rug. Learning the seven continents is an important elementary school standard. Having an inviting and flexible place to sit will encourage students to use our classroom library. "Rug time" is everyone's favorite moment of the day and kids love having a special spot of their own. The rug will also help us build our classroom community as an inspiring place to gather and enjoy teacher or student-led read alouds.
