This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This year, I will be working at a Title I school. My school does not have enough funding to purchase a classroom rug for my classroom. I would love a classroom rug for my students. I plan to have my class (about 28 students) use this rug for morning meetings, read aloud time and a transitional place for learning instead of sitting at their desks all day. My students will also have opportunities to use the rug area to work on activities and projects with partners and/or small groups. We would be so blessed and happy if we could have a classroom rug for our classroom!
