My Project

The classroom rug will be used in my classroom to provide a warm and inviting place on the floor for my students to sit on during our read-aloud and classroom discussions.

I have found that my students tend to be more vocal and more willing to share their thoughts when we are all seated on the floor as a group than when I am at the front of the room, and they are seated at their desks.

Although my students are more comfortable sharing while seated on the floor, I want my students to be able to be physically comfortable-- this rug will provide me with the opportunity to give that to them.
