Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are hard-working, creative, highly motivated, and diverse groups of learners. They come to school ready to learn, and I want to give them a safe, happy, and productive classroom.
I teach at a Title I school in Houston where ninety percent of the students receive free lunch.
Some of the students in my school participate in the Backpack Buddy program. My students are third grade, English Language Learners. My students are eager to learn and do their best to make their parents, teachers, and school proud.
My Project
I am requesting funds to purchase Airheads, Pop Rocks, prizes, tiaras, paper towels, and cleaning supplies. The cleaning supplies will help my in person students to keep the germs away, and stay healthy during this different semester. The prizes and snacks are going to be an incentive for my students to improve their grades and behavior. At my school we celebrate Girl's Day and I would like to provide tiaras for the girls in my classroom to feel even more special that day. Thank you for considering funding our project.
