This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In my 6th and 7th grade math classroom, I’m working to create a positive and engaging environment where students are motivated to do their best, not just academically, but behaviorally and socially, too. To support this, I’m building a reward system where students can earn small but meaningful prizes like stencils, stickers, candy, earbuds, and stress balls.

These items will be used to celebrate students who show consistent good behavior, participate actively in class, and complete their work on time.

At the end of each quarter, students will have a chance to “shop” from our classroom rewards stash as a way to recognize their effort and growth.

This project is about more than just incentives—it’s about reinforcing a culture of responsibility, hard work, and joy in learning. Your support will help me create a classroom where students feel seen, appreciated, and loved.
