My Students
This past year and a half has been like never before. Students have had to learn remotely and face their own individual challenges each day. With limited interaction and collaboration among their peers, students are facing challenges both emotionally and academically.
With a new influx of Kindergarten learners this school year, I am looking for ways to welcome students and empower them through a diverse selection of literature.
I have been extremely lucky to have a class full of problem solvers who are also looking for ways to be engaged in more hands-on learning experiences. Each day may bring a new challenge, but Kindergarteners are a resilient and flexible group!
My Project
The start of my teaching career has been atypical to say the least. As an educator teaching during a pandemic, I have had to constantly adjust my teaching methods to reach the needs of all my students. As a novice educator, I worry about finding ways to ensure student engagement levels during a remote learning experience.
Thanks to many amazing educators, I have access to quality content that engages young learners by promoting in-depth class discussions through interactive read alouds, hands on crafts, and more.
