Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The little learners in my classroom always come to school with a big smile and ready to engage with the day's content. As kindergartners, they make tremendous growth throughout the year- it is only November and they have already grown so much.
I teach at a title one school where students may experience stressors in their personal lives that affect their emotional well being in school.
Our classroom store provides a safe space where we can celebrate student achievement through small rewards that bring students joy and continue to motivate them to put forward their best self. Most of the prizes I am requesting are little toys that I know my students will LOVE- such as the pop its, ring pops, stuffed animals, etc. The toy cars, paints, play-doh, and other times will encourage creativity and provide them with something to play with and enjoy. Chips, candy, and juice are just a little extra-who doesn't love snacks? There are a lot of prizes included in this project to ensure they last our 35 students the entire year!
