Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students walk through the door each morning full of energy, ready to learn, and excited to see what knowledge they will gain for the day. I make sure to come to school ready to match that energy.
I teach at a Title I school in southern California where almost all of our students receive free breakfast and lunch.
Eighty-five percent of the students qualify for a free or reduced-price lunch.
Despite the many associated hardships, my students are eager to learn and do their very best which I expect of each of them. They want to be in school because they want to learn, and it's my pleasure to make this happen.
My Project
Save the teacher and the students constant trips of running up and down the school stairs just to print documents and files in the school office. This is inefficiency at its worst (and tiring). Even though we get our steps in, we can utilize our time better. So...
Every classroom needs its own accessible, available printer!
Here's where you come in: help make this happen. With remote learning, I needed to bring my personal printer back home. Yet, our classroom still needs quality printing solutions which is the reason for this grant request.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
