Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach second grade in a dual language program. My students are learning both English and Spanish in a Title 1 school. They are smart, inquisitive, and very eager to learn. They are all on free lunch and participate in the Breakfast in the Classroom program.
I am asking for a classroom printer to help me make a variety of visual aids for my students.
Printers allow teachers the freedom to create customized and colorful learning materials. Because my classroom is a dual language, I make many classroom charts in both languages using different colors to differentiate between the two languages.
My old printer broke down and I have been asking for a replacement but have not gotten one. Not having a classroom printer is very difficult. Most of the time I have to email my files to the office so they can print them for me. This is not only inconvenient, but it also wastes too much precious time. I hope we are able to get a new printer to make our classroom run smoother.
