There are so many times when I need to make a quick copy or print something for a student, but the school printer is down the hall, almost always out of paper, and frequently out of toner. Being able to print and copy in the classroom will not only save time for myself, but also make printing and sharing work easier and more efficient for my students. Although they are first graders, we have numerous computer projects we work on during the year, I like to print the projects and hang them up in the hallway for display. In this ever-changing technological world I think it is important to teach students how to create using technology, being able to print themselves is an important part of this process.
