This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
With nineteen students, each with their own individual personality, coming to school every day is truly an adventure!
"I love coming to school, Mrs. T!"
Located in a low-income neighborhood, many of my students love coming to school, getting breakfast and a warm lunch while learning about different things throughout the day. Not only do they get the structure they desire, but they get to interact with their peers while learning SEL skills that they will take with them into adulthood.
My desire is to support my students in all that they do, provide a fun and creative work environment and teach them the skills to be the best possible student they can be.
My Project
Being able to have a color printer within my classroom is an essential way for my students and myself to print important information about what we are studying and gather reports to help students with resources to use within the classroom and at home. There are many times throughout the school day where necessary work needs to be printed and being able to print from within the classroom would be a huge advantage for my students.
My students and I will both benefit from having immediate access to printed materials that serves our needs.
A colored printer does not only give my students the chance to read articles and printed books in color, it also gives them the chance to access printed materials that they can appreciate from their own making.
