Classroom Pet: Norbert Comes to South

Help me give my students the tools they need to take care of our new classroom pet, Norbert the Bearded Dragon.

My Project

My students are excited to welcome our new classroom pet after winter break! Norbert is a young bearded dragon who has been living at Mrs. Skaggs' house since October. He has been growing and getting used to being handled and he is almost ready to make his big move to Mrs. Skaggs' Resource Science Classroom! He has a tank and a few other things at School already, but he is still needing help getting a few things before he makes his big move! We are requesting Basking Spot Lamp Replacement Bulb, Water Dispenser and Dripper, Reptile Carpet and more.

Having Norbert in class will help my students understand the responsibility of taking care of another living thing.

He will bring joy and and structure to our classrooms daily routine. My goal is to make an environment for Norbert that has everything he needs to thrive and to show my students that with hard work and dedication they can take care of another living thing. My special education students are ready to take on the challenge of taking care of Norbert. I can't wait to see them take on responsibility and show off how nurturing they can be!
