Classroom Organization and STEM Activities

My Students

My students are kindergartners in Carlsbad, California. We are a multicultural classroom with so much to share and learn from each other.

In my kindergarten classroom, we will explore, inquire, communicate, collaborate, experiment, practice, create, and grow each day in an environment that is safe for all learners.

I am so proud to be a part of their foundation and help inspire these great little minds! They are all so very excited to learn each day and give their best in our classroom community, as well as in the strong school-wide community we have built.

My Project

These organizational bins are needed for building a classroom that is efficient and organized. The kindergartners use tables instead of desks so we need book bins to keep daily math papers, language arts papers, and books organized. The non-tip bins are great for the tables so that they will not fall over.

Our tables can get quite unorganized and busy during any day of learning in kindergarten!

We will use the caddy organizers for colored pencils and markers to be taken to the seat during center work. The reusable dry erase pouches are for daily work at their seats for number and math practice, name, and letter writing practice too. Since they are wipe off, they can be used for just bout anything in our daily agenda and will save paper as well.

Finally, we will use the treehouse builders for STEM building during our math and science time. My students love to design and build things in teams or alone. This building set is strong, durable, and very appropriate for the kindergarten age group. Building is fun and supports fine motor skills as well as design and planning skills to meet STEM standards.
