My Students
My students come from very diverse backgrounds and have so many challenges to overcome outside of our reading classroom, however, they come to class every day ready to learn and grow! Their reading interests are always changing with new content they’re learning about in school! My students are bright, enthusiastic learners who are always looking for a good book to get their minds turning! They also love sharing their thoughts and ideas about books with each other as they finish each novel.
My Project
This class set of books will provide students the materials they need to complete daily assignments in my classroom during our whole class novel study. These books will help students further develop their critical thinking skills, increase reading comprehension, encourage text to self connections, and a spark a love for reading in many of my students. Students in my classroom have never been able to work with whole class novel studies before and I know they will love having the opportunity to work closely and collaborate with their peers on a daily basis in reading class! Any help to get this project started in my class will be so appreciated!
