Art students are used to coming directly into a room at our school and sitting in their mindful spot. A carpet will give the art students in all grades k-5, an opportunity to come in quietly and ready to learn. This carpet isn't just for sitting, being a rainbow carpet, it also engages our students in a sensory approach to colors.
The carpet will promise a place for everyone in the class and they will have front-row viewing of our Smartboard.
This is where all the directions are provided for our project that day and mini-lesson. The kids love rainbows and they love to have their own "spot" to listen and focus.
The printer and chair will go near the Smartboard so students can print out their writing that goes along with their art to show glows and grows or exit slips.
