Help me give my students the supplies and other essentials such as Crayola crayons, colored pencils, pencil sharpeners, to have a successful academic year!
My students live in an extremely impoverished area in Detroit, Michigan. 100% of our students are on free or reduced lunch. They have numerous challenges in their daily lives. Although they have hardships, the students are bright wonderful children, I feel that each one is my own.
My students are six and seven years old and learn best through hands-on learning.
They love to absorb knowledge whether it's from a chalkboard or technology. They thrive on learning when they are engaged and have numerous experiences in school as they do not have those opportunities at home.
My Project
Most of my students need basic school supplies in order to be successful in school as well as at home doing their homework. Providing Crayola crayons, colored pencils, pencil sharpeners will aid in completing assignments at school and at home. Paper and art materials will also help with hands-on learning.
The durable folders and notebooks will serve as a daily organization for my students as well as help improve accountability and their grades.
This project also includes supplies for the changing seasons. Many of my students are getting sick and we are in need of hand sanitizer, Lysol wipes, and tissue. As a class, we promise to take care of the supplies and use them appropriately. Your support will be appreciated.
